Happy Republic Day, is an important day in India which is a golden opportunity for every Indian to celebrate their complete independence. India got independence in August 1947 but India became a republic on 26th January 1950 and the main power will be hold by people. From this day onwards no king or emperor will rule the people but the common people will rule with the Honorable President as the head. From this day onwards the Constitution of India came into force and Jana Gana Mana was officially declared as the national anthem of India
On this day every year, parades, cultural shows and flag hoisting programs take place on the Kartavya Path (Rajpath) of Delhi where many dignitaries including the President of India, Prime Minister, and guests from other countries are present. Republic Day is not just celebrated in Delhi, it is celebrated in every small and big city and village of India. On this day the tricolour flag of India is hoisted. It is a day rich in history, culture and pride and reminds us of the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and the values enshrined in the Constitution which aim for justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. On this occasion, the invaluable service of the Indian Army is honored with awards like Param Vir Chakra, Mahavir Chakra and Vir Chakra during the parade. This award is a tribute to their heroic service.
